PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- The Concord Minutemen entered the night with a perfect 8-0 record, and they proved once again why they’re one of the top teams in the area.

Just four minutes into the game, Concord junior running back Reese Breveard broke through the defense for a rushing touchdown, putting the Minutemen on the board. The extra point was good, giving Concord an early 7-0 lead.

A few plays later, junior quarterback Bo Brunner handed off to senior running back Jaron Thomas, who fought through traffic and punched it into the end zone. With another successful extra point, concord led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Plymouth was picked off by Concord's Derek Gomez, who took it all the way for a pick-six, now stretching their lead to 21-0.

Concord kept the pressure on as a snapped ball found wide receiver Mark Herman, who leaped into the air for a touchdown. Just moments later, Reese Brevard scored his second touchdown of the day, pushing the Minutemen to a 35-0 lead.

With just 20 seconds left in the second quarter, Plymouth finally got on the board with a handoff to junior running back Finn Holm, making it 42-7 at halftime.

But it didn’t matter, as the Minutemen walked away with a dominating win, clinching the Northern Lakes Conference title.

This victory marks Concord's fourth victory where they won by 21 points or more, finishing the regular season undefeated at 9-0.

Concord is on a bye week and will be back on the road to face off Fort Wayne North Side football. Plymouth will face off Wawasee at home next week.
