Community members honor Wolcottville officer Curtis Dameron

WOLCOTTVILLE, Ind. -- Members of the community are honoring Wolcottville officer Curtis Dameron, who died in a motorcycle crash while  Sunday evening. Dameron was off duty.

Dameron's patrol vehicle is parked in front of the Town Hall and has been covered in flowers, balloons and notes.

Dameron, 42, had been a reserve officer with the Wolcottville Police since 2012. He was on leave at the time of the crash.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 and Tuesday, September 15, 2020 both from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm at Bethel Christian Baptist Church, 2838 East US Highway 6, Kendallville, IN 46755.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 11am at Bethel Christian Baptist Church.

Burial will take place following the funeral service at Orange Cemetery in Rome City, IN.
