ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Municipal Band celebrated its 88th season with a free children's concert at the Lerner Theatre on Sunday.
The concert featured a variety of music, including a piece involving a rubber chicken, designed to be both fun and visually engaging.
The band, which includes members with decades of experience, aimed to attract younger audiences and provide free live music to the community.
The Elkhart Municipal Band plays 13 concerts annually, with the first summer concert scheduled for June 2 in McNaughton Park.
