CMHU investigating man’s death following fall at local bar

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a man who suffered severe head trauma at the Filling Station Bar & Grille in Roseland last week.

Paramedics responded to the bar on SR 933 in Roseland at 2:54 a.m. on October 19 after receiving reports of a man injured in a fall.

Paramedics determined the victim, 59-year-old Todd Youngquist, suffered severe head trauma and he was transported to the hospital.

Youngquist died on October 22.

An autopsy was conducted in Fort Wayne and determined his cause of death was blunt force trauma and his manner of death was homicide.
