UPDATE THREE: The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Duayne Jude.

25-year-old Dyneisha Bonds is in custody in connection to this hit-and-run. She faces preliminary charges with Felony Resisting Law Enforcement and Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Crash.

UPDATE TWO: Police confirm a pedestrian has died following a hit-and-run on S.R. 933 in front of Birch Hill Suites around 7 a.m., Tuesday.

Police say they arrived on scene to find a man in his mid-60s suffering from severe injuries.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities say the suspect vehicle fled the scene of the crash.

The St. Joseph County FACT team is continuing to investigate the incident.

The victim's name is not being released by police currently.

ORIGINAL STORY: ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A crash involving a car and a pedestrian on S.R. 933 near the Dunkin' Donuts is impacting traffic in St. Joseph County, according to dispatch. 

The call came in just after 7 a.m., Tuesday, and since then, traffic is being diverted in both directions, and drivers should avoid the area.
