Church Community Services awarded $100,000 grant

ELKHART, Ind. – Church Community Services has been awarded a $100,000 grant by the Community Foundation of Elkhart County. The award will help the non-profit better serve the local Latinx community.

The grant will allow Church Community Services to hire two Latinx workers.

One position will be full-time, directing outreach efforts into the community, while the other position will be part-time to work within the food pantry.

“We are excited to be able to better serve the Latinx community in Elkhart. We look forward to being better able to communicate with Spanish speaking individuals and exploring any unique needs individuals in the Latinx community have,” said Tom McArthur, executive director of Church Community Services.
