Child passenger car seat check held at Niles Fire Department

NILES, Mich. -- The Michigan State Police (MSP), Niles City Fire Department and the State Trooper Outreach Partnership (STOP) Niles Chapter are hosting a child passenger safety seat check on May 20 from noon to 4 p.m.

Held at the Niles Fire Department (1345 E. Main St.), seat technicians will be available to ensure children are securely fastened and in the correct seat (car seat or booster seat).

According to the release, it is not a requirement for your child to be present during the check, though it may be more practical.
