CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office is investigating a farm tractor crash that resulted in the death of one person.
The crash occurred at 12:05 p.m. in Silver Creek Township when a tractor carrying machinery lost control. The driver, 23-year-old Nathan Scherer from St. Joseph, Mich., was ejected and then the tractor proceeded to roll onto him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The crash also is under investigation by the Medical Examiner's Office.
