Cass County collision Friday afternoon

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call Friday afternoon in response to a personal injury accident.
The accident happened at the intersection of Leet Rd. an M-60 in Howard Township.
A 58-year-old female driving a Jeep went through a stop sign on Leet Rd. coming onto M-60 officials say.
A 27-year-old female driving a Chevrolet was unable to stop and ran into the side of the Jeep’s driver side sending it off the road.
The Jeep’s driver was transported to Lakeland Hospital in Niles where she is being treated for her injuries.
The Chevrolet’s driver received minor injuries and was not transported.
Alcohol was not a factor in this crash and seatbelts were worn.
