Car hit by train in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. - Marshall County authorities confirmed a train hit a car on State Road 17 near Burr Oak early Sunday.

The scene cleared around noon.

The driver of the vehicle, 57-year-old, Scott Sorg, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

It's currently unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor. 

This collision is still under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.
