Car goes airborne hitting mobile home, leaves one injured

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a call Oct. 26 at approximately 12:59 p.m. of a crash on Wood Lake Road near Welburn Street in Cass County.

A vehicle driven by 19-year-old Charlotte Barrow of Kalamazoo Michigan was traveling southbound on Wood Lake Road at a high rate of speed, when the vehicle crested the hill, going airborne and losing control, leaving the roadway where it overturned and struck an unoccupied mobile home.

Both the vehicle and the mobile home caught fire, and Barrow was transported to Three Rivers Hospital for injuries that were sustained in the crash.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in this crash.

This crash remains under investigation.
