SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has forecast an Air Quality Action Day across Northern Indiana for Tuesday.

Fine particulate matter levels are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range.

IDEM officials say this includes North Central Indiana, including Elkhart, Goshen, Knox, Logansport, Plymouth, Peru, South Bend, Warsaw, Winamac and all other cities within the area.

The forecast also includes Northwest and Northeastern Indiana.

Canadian wildfire smoke is expected to be circulating in the region and be pulled into northern Indiana Tuesday.

IDEM officials say they anticipate higher levels of ground-level ozone and fine particulate matter only.

You can keep track of the air quality levels across the state on the IDEM website.
