SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The city of South Bend is set to host the USA Softball Men's Major Fast Pitch National Championships between August 4 and August 7.

Twenty teams from ten states and Canada are set to compete for the Fast Pitch National Championship, as the city of South Bend hosts the Men's Major for the 12^th time, the most of any single city in the US.

20 total teams, totaling more than 300 players will participate, which according to Visit South Bend's Sports tourism Manager, Nick Kleva, will provide a substantial economic boost to the Michiana region, as teams will be staying in downtown hotels and dining at local restaurants.

"We love working with USA softball and Byers Softball Complex to bring this tournament back year after year," said Kleva.

All tournament games will take pace at Byers Softball Complex, which is located at 1300 South Mayflower Road.

Games are open to the public; entry fees are $6 per day or $15 for a weekend pass.

Thursday, August 4: Gates open at 5 p.m., Games at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Friday, August 5: Games start at 8 a.m. and are scheduled every two hours

Saturday, August 6: Games start at 8 a.m. and are scheduled every two hours

Sunday, August 7: Bracket play will start, and a Champion will be crowned
