Bridge deck overlay project to close portions of Jackson Road and U.S. 6

ST. JOSEPH & MARSHALL COUNTIES, Ind. -- A bridge deck overlay project on Jackson Road over U.S. 31 and U.S. 6 over the Yellow River will begin on or after July 5, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Jackson Road will be closed between St. Joseph Street and Main Street. The official detour will follow Main Street, Kern Road and Miami Road.

U.S. 6 will remain closed between Miami Trail and State Road 331 near Bremen, and its detour will follow State Road 331 and State Road 106.

Both areas of construction will be closed for approximately two weeks while the work is ongoing.
