UPDATE: One juvenile injured in shooting at Strikes and Spares in Mishawaka
ABC57 UPDATE: The Mishawaka Police Department has identified the victim of the shooting to be a 15-year-old male juvenile from the South Bend area.
Around 5:45 p.m. on May 21, Mishawaka Police Officers responded to reports of shots fired after callers reported hearing gunfire and seeing armed individuals in the parking lot. Initial responding officers were unable to locate victims or suspects at the time. A short time later, officers were dispatched to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center regarding a walk-in gunshot victim.
The victim was the identified, later transported for emergency surgery related to significant injuries. Medical personnel have advised that the victim is expected to survive.
Detectives are actively pursuing leads related to the identities of those involved, digital evidence and forensic analysis of evidence related to this investigation. At this time, investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

One victim was able to walk into a hospital for treatment. The incident occurred shortly before 6p.m.
