NILES, Mich. -- In a social media post Tuesday, Jay's Lounge owner Silvio Martino announced plans to relocate the local favorite, making it clear that the decision is not being impacted by current business or issues with staffing.

"And it is because of this amazing staff and customer base, that I have decided to relocate Jay’s Lounge two miles south," Martino said. "We will be operating alongside the Clover Hotel in a larger and more accommodating space. An opportunity that my management team, staff and I are looking forward to."

In a phone conversation, Martino told ABC57 they are in talks with a hopeful dispensary that wants to buy the land and building, which Martino owns.
