'Bras around the Bend' brings in money and awareness for breast cancer

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Are you ready to bid on some bling? On Thursday night, dozens of decorated bras were on display in Downtown South Bend to help fund the fight against breast cancer.

Several local artists and businesses designed these fancy bras, including former Indiana governor and Silver Hawks owner, Joe Kernan.

Proceeds from the auction will go to River Bend Cancer Services, a non-profit that helps cancer patients and their families.

The money will buy medicines, counseling, wigs, prosthetics, and much more!

The event goes until 8:30 p.m.  Tickets are $25 at the door.

You can head out and join ABC 57’s Monica Ott at the Le Peep Cafe in Downtown South Bend.

You will have a little fun and help raise money for a good cause.
