BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Harbormaster Mike Moran announced via social media that the St. Joseph M-63 Blossomland Bridge over the St. Joseph River became stuck in the down position around 12:41 p.m. Friday.

Moran states the bridge suffered an electrical failure.

All mariners are advised to use caution while traveling in the area.

Moran says vessels able to travel under the bridge in the lowered position may do so at any time.

Motor vehicle traffic is not currently impacted.

The repair time is currently unknown.
