Berrien County Veteran Services uses luminaries to raise suicide prevention awareness

BERRIEN COUNTY, Ind. -- The Berrien County Veteran Service Office is hosting the Be the Light luminary event in support of the Suicide Prevention Coalition.

During the month of September, Berrien County invites the community to donate $5 to secure a luminary for a nightly display show that will help symbolize the hope, education, and public awareness for suicide prevention.

The display show will be on Saturday, Sept. 21, beginning at all countywide luminary locations at approximately 7:45 p.m. at sunset.

Donations can be made at any Berrien County American Legion Post, Berrien County Veteran Service Office, or by visiting their website for community partner locations.
