UPDATE: Niles Speedway shooting suspect charged with multiple felonies

NILES, Mich. -- UPDATE TWO: The Berrien County Sheriff's Office reports the shooting suspect, identified as 39-year-old Alonzo Dominic Davis of Niles, was arraigned in 5th District Berrien County Court on Tuesday afternoon.

Davis was arraigned on the felony charges of Assault with Intent to Murder, Unarmed Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and two counts of Felony Firearm.

Davis is being held at the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Jail on a $200,000 cash bond.

The victim has been identified as 44-year-old Dontae Lavon Murphy also of Niles.

This incident remains under investigation.

UPDATE (8:20 p.m.): The Berrien County Sheriff's Departments reports that a 44-year-old Niles man was transported to Memorial Hospital for his injuries, was treated for a gunshot wound, and was later discharged.

A 39-year-old man from Niles was also transported to Corewell Lakeland Hospital in Niles, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury and was then arrested and lodged at BCSO Jail for assault with intent to murder. 

This incident is still under investigation and names are being withheld at this time. 

ORIGIGINAL STORY: The Berrien County Sheriff's Department reports a call came in for a shooting at the Speedway at S. 11th Street and Fort Street around 12:14 p.m., Monday.

Deputies are currently investigating the incident and have not yet confirmed it to be a shooting.

There's currently no information available regarding the number and condition of victims, or if there were any.

As of 1:38 p.m., the scene was still active.
