Michigan State Trooper opens fire on suspect in Benton Harbor
BENTON HARBOR, Mi. -- Located right on the Paw Paw River, the Collective offers strength training and meditation-- as well as outdoor yoga sessions-- which Adrienne White-- the certified yoga instructor-- said has been popular with her clients, even in the hot weather, which is partly mitigated by the cool breeze coming off the river.
Speaking of which, the Collective also offers paddleboard yoga, which gives clients an opportunity to find their inner strength, while floating on the water.
However, cooling off on the water isn't exactly the goal.
“We go out without the intention of no one going in the water, so whether you’re a beginner or advanced, we’re not trying to make that part of the class," said White. "It’s certainly optional if anyone wants to. But we do have life jackets, you can wear them or have them on board, and it’s just a lot of fun. We park in the lily pads, it’s very stable and it really is like an actual yoga class, so there’s really nothing special. Bring a towel if you want to, you can use it to sit on, or cover yourself when you go into relaxation—but other than that it’s just come as you are!”
The Collective offers several different sessions for their yoga classes. More information can be found on their Facebook page: The Collective | Facebook
