BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety reports that the former GG grocery store building on Buss Avenue in Benton Harbor, burnt to the ground this morning.
Multiple crews were called in from Benton Harbor, Saint Joseph, and surrounding townships to deal with the blaze, which fully engulfed the reportedly abandoned building.
The units arrived at the scene at around 6:40 a.m., finding the building covered in heavy smoke and fire.
While the fire remains under investigation for now, there are indications that the fire was intentionally set.
