Baroda Fire Department cancels July 3rd fireworks show

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – The Baroda Township Board made the decision Monday to cancel the July 3rd fireworks event due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to officials, the decision was made with the health and safety of participants and the community’s first responders in mind.

The Board consulted the Baroda Fire Department, the Baroda-Lake Police Department, and the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department to make the decision.

“I am disappointed, as I am sure thousands of residents and visitors will be, too,” said Larry Klug, Fire Chief and Fireworks Chairman.
