Applications open for the 2022 South Bend Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Applications are now open for the South Bend Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy, running from August 9 through October 4.
The free, nine-week program meets each Tuesday evening and gives citizens a first-hand look at what it’s like to be a police officer in South Bend.
Participants will learn about the different experts and topics within the police department, like crime scene processing, narcotics enforcement, SWAT, and more.
Space is limited and applications are due by July 18.
