Another big temperature swing on the way

High temperatures were 15-20 below normal across Michiana Tuesday, as thermometers struggled to get very far into the 40s.

Don't despair, warm weather lovers: we could get our first 80 degree temperature this weekend!

A warm front will help highs soar to near 80 degrees Saturday, with upper 70s likely before storms move in on Sunday. 

Typically, our first 80 degree temperature in South Bend is at the end of April. We would hit that milestone a little ahead of schedule. 

With one of our earliest first 70s on record last month and an earlier-than-normal 80 on the way, you might be surprised to learn that Spring 2022 hasn't been that warm. Our current ranking is in the middle of the pack, with the last 7 weeks falling as the 46th warmest on record in South Bend.
