SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Today marks the beginning of Summer Restaurant Weeks. From now until August 6th, folks can go to the twenty-five participating locations offering unique deals and local flavor.
This year Summer Restuarant Weeks is rolling out a free dining pass to enter eaters into a chance for a grand prize.
For each visit to one of the participating restaurants, you can earn one hundred points, which equals one contest entry.
One winner will get a chance to receive the grand prize package, which includes tickets to the Cubs, passes to the local museums and zoo and a South Bend goodie bag.
Founder of LaSalle Hospitality Group and Restaurants Week, Mark McDonnell, hopes this new initiative will help get more people to come out with ten percent of earnings going towards Beacon’s Children Hospital.
The special pricing does not include tax or tip and cannot be combined with other promotional offers or discounts.
From Spanish to Italian to Japanese cuisine, McDonnell said there’s something for everyone.
“Come support downtown South Bend and the great independent restaurants, no chains here, that are part of our dining association. It's twenty-five to choose from,” he said.
