Vaccination clinic held for Penn Harris Madison school employees

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. — Educators with the Penn Harris Madison School Corporation received the COVID-19 vaccine during a vaccination clinic at Penn High School on Monday.

Approximately 1,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine were available to employees and contractors who wanted it, regardless of their age.

The clinic was made available by a partnership with Meijer through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.

A second clinic will be held in 21 days to administer the second dose to employees.

"I'm excited. I'm excited for myself and the kids. I've always been a big advocate of getting the kids back in school in-person education. I think that's so important. I think there are a lot of kids that are  falling through the cracks and we need to get them back in school in front of teachers,” teacher Greg Dikos said.

Last week, the South Bend Community School teachers received their dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
