ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Residents in Elkhart County affected by the June 11's severe storms should expect to receive letters from Elkhart County Community Organizations Active in Disaster regarding damage assessments by Elkhart County EMA.

EMA officials ask that recipients contact them at 574-891-2238, and to follow the instructions at the bottom of the letter.

Representatives from IDHS, FEMA, and the county cities will also soon be surveying homes damaged by the tornado on June 11. Groups will be traveling in teams of four to five, only to confirm the area's damage.
