CHICAGO, Ill. -- Adam Beckerink has been extradited to Chicago after serving his 93-day sentence for domestic violence against Caitlyn Tracey in New Buffalo, Michigan.
The Cook County judge referred to him as a "risk to the community" and denied Beckerink's bond request.
He will remain in jail until he goes to trial.
Beckerink is accused of throwing his estranged wife, Caitlyn Tracey, down a 29-story stairwell in his Chicago high-rise condo in 2024.
Detectives confirmed that Beckerink's DNA was found on the stairwell door.
Caitlyn Tracey's family told ABC57 news:
"Although the defendant's criminal convictions and sentence in Michigan brings some measure of justice for Caitlyn, this man must now be held accountable for his actions in the days and months that led to this moment...We hope that justice will prevail and we can finally lay our dear Caitlyn to rest."
