ABC57 Sound Off on Kickoff
Notre Dame fans aren’t shy when it comes to sharing their opinions on Irish football.
This week, ABC57 stopped by Corby’s Irish Pub for a Kickoff edition of Sound Off. Fans from across the country were in town to watch Notre Dame face The Thundering Herd.
On Brian Kelly:
“I don't think he ever got Notre Dame. I don’t think he got the spirit right,” - David Labin; Madison, ME
“Farewell to him. I hope he does well at LSU, but we’ve got our coach now,” - Mike Pearce; Laramie, WY
On Marcus Freeman:
“Well, he’s 0-2, but I’ve got faith. He has a great recruiting class. We have a top recruiting class for 2023 and 2024,” - Art Gallagher; Philadelphia, PA
“I think [coaching Notre Dame] is his calling. I think it’s something that he has been a part of, and [the players] identify with, whereas they have not had that in the past,” Becky Pearce; Laramie, WY
On the Irish Offense:
“Expected a little more of the offense to keep the defense off the field more. Because obviously by that fourth quarter [the defense] got exhausted,” - Scott Szczerbiak; Lexington Park, MD
“[Tyler Buckner] played great last week. We were really pleased with how he played. I think he’s just going to get better every game,” - Mike Pearce; Laramie, WY
“We needed a little more offense. Six three-and-outs [versus Ohio State] was disappointing, so they need to polish the offense up,” - David Labin; Madison, ME
