ELKHART, Ind. - This year’s Thought Leadership Conference returned to Elkhart with a specific focus on schools.
The keynote speaker was ABC news anchor and correspondent Linsey Davis!
The conference’s focus is working together for the common good, despite our differences, through diversity, equity and inclusion!
Organizers challenged everyone to think about better ways to help students, schools, companies and communities prosper together.
In addition to being an anchor, Davis is also an Emmy-winning journalist and author, who spoke on "Celebrating Women and Girls".
“If you just look at the Fortune 500, 53 of the CEOs of the Fortune 500 are women, only three are women of color, only two are black women,” said David. “And so there's clearly a problem if you just even look at that one slice why women are not making it to the highest echelons in in business and, and society.”
There was also an awards ceremony during the event that recognized multiple students. Four of them also won a scholarship.
