Snow will melt most of today as highs surge to the upper 30s amidst partly cloudy skies. Despite the warmer air, sustained winds of 15-20 mph today will force wind chills down into the 20s. The quiet weather ends late tonight as a prominent surface low and corresponding cold front sweep across the area, bringing widespread rain and snow around midnight. Eventually, the wintry mix turns to just snow showers Saturday before mostly tapering off. Saturday's highs land near 30F, signaling a strong cooldown through the rest of the weekend. Sunday's temperatures barely make it to the mid-teens as lake effect snow showers develop early in the day. Expect periodic snowfall through Monday night as temperatures plummet into the single digits early next week. Monday and Tuesday's highs are in the single digits with wind chills anticipated to feel more than 15 degrees below zero.
Today (Friday): Partly cloudy. High 38.
Tonight: Snow/rain showers. Low 26.
Tomorrow: AM snow showers. High 30.
Sunday: Lake effect snow showers. High 15F.
