Snow returns Thursday PM, milder weather soon
Temperatures are still on track to range anywhere from 10 to 20 degrees above average today and through the rest of the week as well. Highs land in the mid 40s this afternoon despite mostly cloudy skies; lows bottom out just below freezing overnight. Christmas Eve starts off quietly in the morning with abundant cloud cover, but showers are likely to develop in the evening and last through the overnight. A drizzle will persist on Christmas morning, but Santa should be able to get gifts to all of Michiana without any meteorological roadblocks. High temperatures are near 50 degrees on Christmas Day and the day after as well, but expect rain to return to our area Christmas night and stick with our entire forecast area through the first half of Friday. The weekend sees a major cooldown back to near normal temperatures on Sunday.
Today: Mostly cloudy. High 46.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 28.
Wednesday: PM rain showers. High 43.
Thursday: Cloudy. High 48.
