Motorcyclist injured in Cass County crash

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Cass County Sheriff Deputies responded to a crash at 6:44 p.m., on Thursday, involving a motorcycle and pick-up truck.

The crash occurred in the area of Sunset Boulevard, north of Wayne Street.

The motorcycle was driven northwest by 36-year-old James Tran, of Bristol, when the road began to curve.

Tran lost control of the vehicle when he hit loose gravel, still traveling north on its side, and hit a pickup truck traveling south.

Tran was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for his injuries.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor.

The crash remains under investigation.
