'Ghost gun,' among firearms seized in search warrant along with cocaine
SWET HARTFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Residential search warrant leads to two Hartford men arrested.
Detectives with the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET), along with multiple police support conducted a residential search warrant on June 11.
The search warrant was stemmed from months of long narcotics trafficking investigations.
Investigators seized one long gun, five pistols, a pistol-to-rifle conversion kit, and brass knuckles.
One firearm had been reported stolen, and another was determined to be a privately manufactured "ghost gun" that lacked a serial number.
Investigators also seized approximately 26 grams of cocaine hydrochloride (HCL), digital scales, drug-packaging materials, and items commonly used in the manufacturing and distribution of controlled substances.
A 27-year-old Hartford man was arrested and lodged at the Van Buren County Jail on multiple felony charges, including receiving and concealing stolen property, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.
A 62-year-old Hartford man was also arrested and lodged at the Van Buren County Jail on multiple felony charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, maintaining a drug house, and resisting and obstructing a police officer.
