CULVER, Ind. -- The town of Culver will be flushing their fire hydrants on Monday, June 8.

While the process is ongoing you may notice a discoloration to your water, but running cold water through the faucet closest to your water main for three to five minutes will clear the orange color. 

The water is safe to use, but should be avoided while washing white clothes, towels, or bedding to prevent discoloration.

The flushing of hydrants normally goes on in April, but construction at the water plant delayed this year's spring flushing.
