ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on C.R. 16 on Tuesday at around 2:46 p.m.

The report states a 2013 Ford C-Max, driven by 74-year-old Loraine Souders of Elkhart, was traveling east on C.R. 16 just west of Armour Avenue.

Deputies say Souders then ran off the roadway at 28715 C.R. 16 before hitting two utility poles.

Authorities say Souders was reported to have been speeding and admitted to doing so at an unknown speed over the limit.

Souders was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and cited for seeding.
