ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Elkhart County Superior Court 3 documents reveal that 63-year-old Lavern Miller is facing one count of Child Molesting, Fondling or Touching with a Child Under 14, following an alleged incident from late 2023.

Court documents state that the 10-year-old victim first informed their school counselor on Nov. 13, 2023, that Miller had had touched them inappropriately over the weekend.

The victim told authorities that Miller had pulled them on his lap and grabbed their chest.

The victim told police Miller then said, "they're pretty small," and asked if they'd show him their chest when they got bigger.

On Dec. 12, 2023, Miller was interviewed at the Goshen Police Department after being read his rights and waiving them.

Miller told police he pulled the victim onto his lap and began reaching around the victim's chest area.

Documents state Miller confirmed to police that he asked to see the victim's chest "when they got bigger."

Police say when Miller was confronted, he admitted inappropriate touching had happened previously during a camping trip.
