#57SummerHotSpots: New additions coming to SJC 4-H Fair
SAINT JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.-ABC 57’s #57SummerHotSpots series returns this week and we are talking about the Saint Joseph County 4-H Fair. The fair is kicking off Friday, June 30th. Whether you have been before or you will be going for the first time, there are some new additions for everyone.
From the ferris wheel and high-rise rollercoasters, to the smells of Polish and Italian sausage.
Since 1927, The Saint Joseph County 4-H Fair has been a grand champion event for all ages to enjoy.
“Our whole background 4H it’s about family and working together, building the community stronger,” said Dennis Murphy, President of the Fair Board.
It’s been a tradition for more than 90 years. Now, newly elected Board President, Dennis Murphy, is looking to take entertainment at the fair to a new level.
“We kind of took an approach this year to really focus on things that are family-oriented,” said Murphy.
A popular market, usually only open twice a year, will make a stop at the fairgrounds.
“The Madison Road Artisan Market that always happens, I think they’ll have about 100 vendors this year,” said Murphy.
To Dennis, this is an event where traditions can grow and a community can gather to celebrate what Saint Joseph County is all about.
The 4-H fair will be held from June 30th to July 8th.
Tickets aren’t available online for purchase.
Pre-sale tickets and wristbands for rides are available at Martin’s Supermarkets for a discounted rate until June 29th.
Tickets are also available for purchase at the booth before entering the fair.
