MISHAWAKA, Mich. -- ABC57 News is spreading some holiday cheer this year by popping up across Michiana in search of someone who could use a miracle.
Here's how the 57-Minute Miracle works: our team approaches people at random, asking them if they know anyone who is in need this holiday season.
Meteorologist Emmett Twomey had the chance to perform this 57-Minute Miracle by finding that special person and giving them some extra holiday spirit
If the miracle maker can get us to that person in 57 minutes, we'll give them $570 in cash, no questions asked.
Unfortunately, one of the intended recipients of this miracle, John Laws, suddenly passed away Dec. 10, after shooting our original miracle story.
At his family's request, we wanted to show you the journey this miracle took while John was still alive.
ABC57 sends our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Laws family during this very difficult time.
