56-year-old man missing after leaving South Bend on Greyhound

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Police Department is asking if the public has seen 56-year-old Ted Bentzler who was last seen by family at the South Bend Transpo Station on April 7.

Bentzler is a white male, approximately 6’2” tall and weighing around 240 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Authorities say around 3:30 p.m. on April 7 Bentzler’s family dropped him off at the Transpo station in South Bend and from there he boarded Greyhound bus and was en route to Jackson, Miss.

The last known contact from Bentzler was on April 20, when he texted his family stating he was stranded in Nashville. There has been no communication since.
