52-year-old bicyclist dead after crash with vehicle

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies are investigating a fatal crash involving a bicycle and motor vehicle in the 11000 block of North S.R. 19 in Jefferson Township.

Emergency personnel responded to the crash Thursday at 7:54 p.m.

Upon arrival, first responders located a 2004 Chevy Blazer, driven by 25-year-old Jonathan W. Davis of Warsaw, and a bicyclist, 52-year-old Aaron E. Miller of Nappanee.

Deputies' preliminary crash investigation indicates both Miller and Davis were traveling north on S.R.19 when Davis's vehicle struck the rear of the bicycle.

Davis was not injured in the crash.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner, from injuries sustained in the crash.

Authorities say no citations have been given and the crash remains under investigation by the KCSO FACT Team.
