GRANGER, Ind. – Police are looking for the people responsible for four armed robberies in Granger Monday night.
According to St. Joseph County Police reports, all four robberies occurred within a 40-minute time frame.
The first robbery happened around 11:20 p.m. on Santa Monica Drive in a neighborhood between Gumwood and Fir roads where a woman says two men followed her into her garage and took cash and a phone at gunpoint.
Records say the second robbery happened on Patricia Church Drive at 11:43 p.m. The third occurred just three minutes later at a home on Crimson Maple Drive.
The third victim told police a man with a gun stole her purse and a cell phone.
Elkhart County Deputies say at 12 a.m., a homeowner was exiting his vehicle in his garage on Stonecutter Drive in Elkhart County when he said a black male displayed a handgun and stole cash and a firearm. A second suspect was present in the garage and took a hand tool.
The two suspects in the fourth robbery are described as a black male who is approximately 6-foot tall with a skinny build and a black female with long hair.
It is not confirmed if the robberies are connected.
