Paleo Night teaches community about prehistoric practices
Elkhart County Parks BRISTOL, Ind. -- Paleo Night is returning to Bristol for an afternoon of learning.
From 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 10, the Briar Patch Shelter in Bonneyville Mill County Park is adding new stations to their family-focused program.
The new stations include a hide-tanning demonstration and an ask an archaeologist table.
“This event is always so fun because we get to combine cultural history and natural history education. There is something for everyone to enjoy. The history buffs, the nature lovers, the foodies, the crafters variety abounds at Paleo Night,” said Jenifer Blouin Policelli, Curator of Education with the Elkhart County Historical Museum.
Activities also include a chance to develop survival skills, Paleo-arts and crafts, making dried fruit, and even getting the opportunity to touch a real mammoth tusk.
Admission to the event is $5 per vehicle.
