Indiana fishing licenses for 2025 now available for purchase

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- With warmer weather on the horizon, it's time to prepare for those spring and summer fishing trips by purchasing your 2025 fishing license.
According to Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Fish & Wildlife, "Licenses valid April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026, can be purchased through the new DNR Fish & Wildlife Activity Hub at GoOutdoorsIN.com, via the mail, or through in-person retailers listed at on.IN.gov/HuntFishLicenseRetailers."
A few fishing records were beat in 2024 with Lafayette angler Isaac Switzer being one of them catching a shortnose gar weighing 2 pounds, 15.9 ounces, beating the previous record by more than 10 ounces.
When asked about his record-breaking catch Switzer said, “I was fishing with my older brother on the Wabash River at night as we had done a hundred times before, targeting gar and catfish,
