UPDATE: On Monday, the St. Jospeh County Police identified the victim of the shooting as 19-year-old Magic Marquise Murphy, of South Bend. An autopsy is scheduled for later in the day on Monday, Nov. 25.
"County Police detectives continue to investigate this homicide, and no arrests have been made at this time," police said. "Anyone with information about this house party or the shooting is asked to call the Police non-emergency line at 574-235-9611 or Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP or p3tips.com/203."
ORIGINAL: BREMEN, Ind. -- St. Joseph County Police officers were dispatched at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Sunday to Quinn Road in Bremen after receiving a call that someone had been shot during a house party.
The officers located evidence of a shooting at a short-term rental house and later discovered that a 19-year-old male had been transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka with gunshot wounds from the incident.
The gunshot victim later died at the Medical Center from those injuries.
So far, no suspects have been identified in the shooting and the incident remains under investigation.
