LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff's Office reports a 16-year-old has been arrested following a months-long investigation into alleged child sexual abuse material.

The report states on Dec. 19, 2025, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received an investigative assignment through the ICAC Data System. 

The detective began reviewing the info and discovered concerning images and videos believed to be child sexual abuse material.

Over the following months, thew detective applied for, received, and executed multiple search warrants for Google, Snapchat, and X.

The investigation was able to identify a La Porte County teen as the suspect.

In March, probable cause was found to arrest the 16-year-old.

On Friday, the suspect was located, arrested, and taken to the La Porte County Juvenile Services Center.

The teen has been charged with seven counts of Child Exploitation, Level 4 Felonies, and four counts of Exploitation, as Level 5 Felonies.
