Youth organization to host event on recent shootings

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. — The recent rash of shootings across the country has parents on high alert. Later this month, people will get a chance to learn how to deal with an active shooter.


The forum is set for Jan. 22 at the Marquette Mall office building in Michigan City.


A police officer will be on hand to present the new program.


The forum is free. 


People interested can reserve their spot by contacting the Indiana Youth Institute.
