Woman pleads guilty, sentenced to 20 years for dealing cocaine

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office announced a Bourbon woman was sentenced on Wednesday stemming from an April 2024, investigation.
The investigation was led by a detective with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, assisted by the Indiana State Police, Plymouth Police Department, NET 43, and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
Documents state a search warrant was executed on Jackie Marie Gomez' home in Bourbon in April 2024, after officers had purchased 347 grams of cocaine from her.
During the search, authorities say they seized an additional 30 grams of cocaine and evidence of dealing, including two digital scales and packaging materials.
Authorities say they also recovered the $2750 in U.S. currency which the detective used to purchase the cocaine from Gomez.
On March 20, Gomez pled guilty to Dealing Cocaine as a Level 2 Felony in Marshall Superior Court 1.
Gomez was subsequently sentenced to a total of 20 years, 18 of which is to be served in the Indiana Department of Correction.
Gomez was given two years suspended to be served on probation.
