WNIT is bringing new K-12 learning programing to the area

WNIT joins the other public television stations for Michigan in the Michigan Learning Channel, which was started this year to bring instructional programming as well as instructional content to students, parents and teachers.

Each of the public television stations has made its own dedicated channel for the Michigan Learning Channel,

WNIT will air the Michigan Learning Channel on the channel 34.5, starting June 1, 2021.

“The Michigan Learning Channel will serve as a nice complement and excellent extension of our PBS KIDS programming,” said Steve Funk, the WNIT Associate General Manager and Vice President Development & Marketing.

The Michigan Learning Channel is replacing the At-Home-Learning channel, which WNIT broadcasted on channel 34.5 since the start of the pandemic.

A livestreaming of the programming will also be available at the Michigan Learning Channel’s website.
